Corbin Bleu joins cast of NURSE 3D

Corbin Bleu (High School Musical) has joined the cast of Nurse 3D. Variety reports that Bleu will star opposite Paz De La Huerta and Katrina Bowden in the film from Lionsgate. De La Huerta (Boardwalk Empire) stars as "Abby, a nurse who uses her sexuality to indulge a sinister side that finds her punishing dishonest men."

Bleu will play Bowden's boyfriend, "a paramedic at the hospital who becomes entangled in Abby's murderous web." Lionsgate says the "psycho-sexual 3D thriller is inspired by the photography of the company's chief marketing officer, Tim Palen."

Bleu recenlty appeared on Broadway in Lin Manuel Miranda's acclaimed play In the Heights, plays Seaweed J. Stubs in the Hollywood Bowl production of Hairspray, which opens Aug. 5. I was not a fan of High School Musical, but my niece and nephew love it. This is a good way for Bleu to make the move to more mature roles. What are your thoughts on this news?
