Denis Leary talks AMAZING SPIDER-MAN and hints that George Stacy could appear sequels

Movie The Amazing Spider-Man by

Dennis Leary spoke today at the Television Critics Association press tour. He spoke a bit about what it was like starring in Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man

Here is what he said about working on the film:

"Andrew's just a terrific actor – I really loved working with him. I think he's great. Same thing with Emma. They're both actually more mature than I am and that says a lot right there. They're really incredibly talented and really professional. She's 22 years old. I don't want to tell you what I was doing when I was 22. I was very impressed by her."

He revealed that this film may not be the last we see of his character Cap George Stacy. In the comic book, Stacy dies. Earlier photos shown from the set showed Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy at a funeral. This made it seem as though Leary would not be featured in any future films. He was asked if he would be starring in future films and he stated that he was planning to "ride Spider-Man", and that he's "doing Spider-Man 4, 5 and 6!" He was obviously joking, but he did have an interesting response when asked if he would uses a cane as his character does in the comics.  Leary reponded by saying, "No. Not yet anyway!"

Audiences may see Leary as Stacy in flashbacks or it could be that he does not die until further films. What are your thoughts on this news?
