Hear the Audience Reaction to HALLOWEEN at the Movie Theater in 1978

VideosMovie Halloween by Joey Paur

Here's an awesome video that takes us back to the year 1978, and places us into a movie theater during a first run screening of John Carpenter's Halloween. A sound recording of the audience was matched up with once of the most iconic horror movie scenes of all time.

It's so cool to hear the reaction of this audience and get a sense of what it was like to be there in the movie theater at that time when watching one of the best horror films ever made. It reminds me of why I enjoy going to the movies. I love hitting up midnight screenings, because it brings out all the hardcore movie geeks, and it's always fun watching a movie with a theater full of people that are into the same kind of things you are, everyone is connected. It just makes the movie going experience so much more awesome.

I love watching horror movies, there something about them that just makes me feel alive, maybe it's because everyone is dying up on screen, but seriously I love the thrill of being scared. It doesn't happen to me often these days because I'm so desensitized now, but every now and then a movie does come along that gets me and screws with my head. Those are good movies.

I thought about sitting on this video until Halloween, but I just couldn't wait that long to share it with you. Watch the video below and tell us what you think!

While we're at it, here's some audience reactions to The Exorcist... They just don't make movies like this anymore.
