Julian Gilbey set to Direct Sci-Fi Film OFFWORLD

Movie Science Fiction by Joey Paur

British director Julian Gilbey (A Lonely Place to Die) has been hired to direct a new sci-fi film project for producer Lloyd Levin called Offworld. The script for the film is set to be written by David Leslie Johnson who's worked on the film Orphan and is currently working on season two of The Walking Dead.

The sci-fi movie is described as being "chock full of the kind of extra-terrestrials that'd give Dutch, Mac and the rest of the Predator crew pause for serious thought." Levin told Empire that, "It's a kind of an intergalactic Naked Prey, a pedal-to-the-metal safari movie set on an alien planet. There's lots of nasty creatures - some even on the good guys' side."

Sounds pretty awesome to me! Levin has worked with directors Guillermo Del Toro, Zack Snyder, Paul Greengrass and Paul Thomas Anderson, and Gilbey is being compared to other up and coming directors such as Duncan Jones, Rupert Wyatt and Gareth Edwards.

What ever this movie turns out to be, it seems like it's in good hands. I'm looking forward to finding out more about this movie.
