Spike Lee's RED HOOK SUMMER Set to come out Summer of 2012

Movie 2012Spike Lee by Joey Paur

Spike Lee's new film Red Hook Summer has completed principal photography and is now in the post-production stage of development. Lee recently sent out a tweet letting everyone know that the film is set to come out in 2012, and provided the above image. In the film Lee is reprising his role of Mookie, the Brooklyn pizza delivery man who was a major character in his 1989 film Do the Right Thing. That's Lee all decked out as his character in the image above.

As we previously reported Red Hook Summer is about an "adult from Atlanta who comes and spends the summer in Red Hook section of Brooklyn, NY." Not much else is known about the story, but I'm looking forward to seeing how this turns out. If you've never seen the movie it is available to stream in the US via Netflix. Lee will next go into development on the remake of Oldboy with Josh Brolin.

What are your thought's on this new Spike Lee Joint?
