Taylor Lautner's ABDUCTION to get sequel says John Singleton!

Movie Taylor Lautner by

Abduction arrives in theaters on September 23, and it looks like a sequel is already in the works. Many of you are cringing at the toughts of even seeing Taylor Lautner on screen, so a sequel may just cause your brains to explode. According to Latinoreview (via the LA Times), director John Singleton revealed sequel plans during the recent premiere.

Lautner has not really had a chance to prove himself as a action star, or that he can handle leading a film. Even if the film does not rule the box office opening weekend, Single says a sequel is inevitable:

"We've been talking about it while we're making the movie. Of course, I'm gonna direct it,
"I don't think we have to worry about that," he said. "It's happening."

I know the following statement will not be popular among a lot of our readers, but I am looking forward to this film. Not in the same way I am looking forward to Man of Steel or The Dark Knight Rises, but I am interested in it nonetheless. I am a fan of Twilight to a degree, but more importantly I want to see each of the stars take on lead roles in other films before I truly judge their acting ability!
