BATTLESHIP - Behind the Scenes Video with Rihanna

Peter Berg's new sci-fi alien invasion film Battleship looks ridiculous, but I'm sure it will be a fun popcorn flick, I don't expect anything more out of it than that. if you haven't seen the trailer for the film yet, Click Here. 

Entertainment tonight recently sat down with Rihana who is one of the co-stars of the film. She plays Taylor Kitisch's crew mate and a weapons specialist on the ship. In the interview she talks about the movie, the role she plays and what it was like working with the military.

The movie hits theaters on May 18th 2012. Check out the behind the scenes video interview below and tell us what you think.

Here's some of what Rihanna had to say in the interview,

I got to shoot some really serious, powerful weapons, which is really, really fun," says the singer, decked out head-to-toe in camouflage and fake tattoos. "We wanted a bunch of tattoos just to dirty me up a little bit -- and, of course, no makeup.

She's this badass weapons officer; she knows everything about weapons, not only hers, but all the weapons on board," explains Rihanna, who went through some basic training exercises like a new recruit to prepare for the film. "It really got me into the emotion of the character. … She's a fighter. She's a killer. She's not afraid of anything. She likes a challenge because she can handle it.

Here's the Synopsis for the film:

A story of an international Navy fleet engaged in a very dynamic and intense battle against an alien race is known as “The Regents”. The aliens come to planet Earth, on a mission to build a power source in the ocean. Upon their visit, they come in contact with a navy fleet. The film is also purported to show both sides of the story, from the aliens’ perspective, as well as the humans.
