Victor Garber to lend voice to ABC's CHARLIE'S ANGELS reboot?

TV ABC by

The Alias star may lend his voice to the new Charlie’s Angels reboot. THR reports that Garber is in talks to take on the role that Robert Wagner voiced in the original pilot. Wagner was initially involved in the project, but dropped out in July citing scheduling conflicts. The iconic role was initially made famous by the late John Forsythe, who voiced the character in the 1970s series. Vulture first broke the news that Garber would voice the part in the reboot starring starring Minka Kelly, Rachael Taylorand Annie Ilonzeh. Now that news has been confirmed.

According to co-creator/executive producer Al Gough, the series "plans to not only explore the back stories of Bosley (Ramon Rodriguez) and the three Angels but also delve into Charlie’s mythology as well."

Here is what he had to say:

“That’s something that fans who watched the show were always looking for: Why is [Charlie] on a voice box as opposed to Skype or video conferencing? What is his mystery? That’s something we’re going to peel back on throughout the season.”

Viewers will find out who the new Charlie is during Thursday’s premiere at 8pm on ABC. Gough said that “you will see Charlie eventually.”
