Casting Round-Up: Richard Jenkins - One Shot, Melinda Sullivan - G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Adrian Pasdar & Michael Imperioli - 40

Movie Casting by Joey Paur

Let Me In actor Richard Jenkins has been cast in Tom Cruise's next movie One Shot. The project is an adaptation of thenovel written by Lee Child, and the story centers on Jack Reacher (Cruise), an ex-Army cop who gets sucked into the mystery surrounding the arrest of a sniper accused of killing five people in a shooting. Jenkins will play a district attorney who goes after the sniper. The film is being directed by Christopher McQuarrie, and also stars Rosamund Pike and David Oyelowo

HeroesAdrian Pasdar and The SopranosMichael Imperioli have joined the cast of Doug Ellin's new HBO pilot 40. The show will be a single camera Comedy series that also stars Ed Burns and Michael Rapaport. According to Deadline the story "revolves around four lifelong friends who help each other navigate life at 40, which isn’t all they expected it to be. Burns plays a married guy and a father who used to work at Bear Stearns making over $2 million a year but has now been out of work for almost a year. Rapaport plays another friend, also married, who is described as a neurotic everyman. Imperioli plays a single guy, a hustler who is shameless when it comes to self promotion. Pasdar plays the fourth of the four buddies, a Wall Street millionaire."

Actress-Dancer Melinda Sullivan announced via her Twitter that she has joined the cast of G.I. Joe: Retaliation. I have no idea who she will be playing but she confirmed that she will not be playing The Baroness, which is a shame because she look like she could tackle the part pretty well. Maybe by saying she wasn't playing the character, she was really saying that she was. Also cast was Kendra Andrews, Travis Wong, and Galen Hooks. But we have no idea who they are playing either.
