Ron Howard directing 364 written by David Guggenheim for Universal

Ron Howard is directing a new film from Safe House scribe David Guggenheim for Universal. Deadline reports that the studio has acquired a drama, titled 364, which will be produced by Imagine Entertainment. Howard is set to direct the film based on "the number of days in a year that a normal guy spends each year figuring out the heroic deeds he will perform on the one day each year that he has super powers." The project is being produced by Brian Grazer and Erica Huggins will be executive producer.

Guggenheim has been on a role lately. His script for Safe House allowed him to quit his job as an editor at US Weekly and has since focused on writing full time. Filming just wrapped with Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds starring for director Daniel Espinosa. He has since sold a pitch to Fox for Santiago, which is going into development.

I am looking forward to seeing Safe House, and usually like Howard's work. What are your thoughts of this news?
