RE5IDENT EVIL: RETRIBUTION - New Details and Still (SPOILER)

PhotosMovie Spoiler by

Earlier today we shared the Resident Evil: Retribution trailer. Now we have a new still (above) and some SPOILERS from a set visit report from Movie Web (via CBM). Movie Web also has a great interview with director Paul W.S. Anderson and Milla Jovovich.

Here is the report from their set visit:

The first scene we watched featured Ada Wong being lead out of a Russian submarine in handcuffs onto the ice by... Rain Ocampo, who is also seen injecting something into her neck: the Las Plagas virus. The call sheet we were given lists a "Bad Rain," so already, were were intrigued, but still confused. Oded Fehr cleared things up... kind of... by explaining that both he and Michelle Rodriguez play two different characters within the same body.

"I kind of come back twice on this one. I think you had a hundred Milla's on the last one. So obviously, you can have more Carloses and more Rains. The interesting thing is, I come back as two different guys on this one. There's a dynamic to the relationship with Milla's character, and then there's the other side. He's working for the Umbrella again. It's great. I get to play two different characters. It's fun. Two opposing sides."

Here is the synopsis:

The Umbrella Corporation's deadly T-virus continues to ravage the Earth, transforming the global population into legions of the flesh eating Undead. The human race’s last and only hope, Alice, awakens in the heart of Umbrella's most clandestine operations facility and unveils more of her mysterious past as she delves further into the complex. Without a safe haven, Alice continues to hunt those responsible for the outbreak; a chase that takes her from Tokyo to New York, Washington, D.C. and Moscow, culminating in a mind-blowing revelation that will force her to rethink everything that she once thought to be true. Aided by newfound allies and familiar friends, Alice must fight to survive long enough to escape a hostile world on the brink of oblivion. The countdown has begun.

Milla Jovovich, Sienna Guillory, Johann Urb, Michelle Rodriguez, and Kevin Durand star in the film that will arrive in theaters on September 14, 2012.
