Kathryn Bigelow's Bin Laden Drama Hopes To Add Jessica Chastain, Mark Strong, and Edgar Ramirez

The cast of Kathryn Bigelow and Mark Boal's Kill Bin Laden movie continues to grow. Deadline reports that Jessica Chastain, Mark Strong, and Edgar Ramirez are circling the film from Annapurna Pictures and Sony Pictures. They would join the previously announced ensemble cast of Jason Clarke, Joel Edgerton, and Chris Pratt.

Despite Republican allegations that Bigelow and Boal gained inside access from the Obama administration while preparing the script, the film is moving ahead full steam. The story follows "Navy SEAL Team 6′s long hunt for the mastermind of the 9/11 attacks. Osama Bin Laden was finally killed in a covert mission last year." The script is now finished, and the project is scheduled for release on December 19.

Chastain's involvement in this film makes it seem less likely that she will star opposite Tom Cruise in Universal's Oblivion, which shoots in March. The actress has been quite popular as of late. Last year alone she starred in Tree of Life, The Help, Take Shelter, and The Debt. Strong can be seen in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, and plays the villain in Disney's John Carter. Ramirez gained a lot of heat from his roles in Carlos and The Bourne Ultimatum and next stars in Wrath of the Titans

I think that this ensemble cast has the film poised for greatness. Chastain was fantastic in The Help and I think she will be great in this. Strong and Ramirez are both solid actors that will add to the current cast in place. What are your thoughts on this news?
