Tom Cruise Talks About MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 5

I loved Brad Bird's Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, and it got me excited for the future of the franchise, because let's face it... we knew there would be a fifth film added to the franchise. In recent interview with Total Film, Tom Cruise talked about the franchise and how's he's already thinking about what they are going to do for Mission: Impossible 5.

I started Mission: Impossible hoping I could make many of them. It’s a character that I can grow with. At that time it was the most expensive film in the history of Paramount Pictures, and the first film I was producing.

It’s been pretty exciting. I’ll make a bunch of those. I’ll make as many as people want to see... because they’re very challenging, and so much fun to make.

When asked about the plot and set-pieces for the fifth film Cruise said:

We’re already working on different images. Talking conceptually. I love travelling around promoting different movies because I’m always looking at different places, and I always walk around to see the city. I look at architecture, subways… coming up with different sequences.

I would love to see Bird come back to direct the fifth movie, but if he or J.J. Abrams don't return to direct it, who would you like to see take it on? What would you say your favorite Mission: Impossible movie is and would you like to see more?
