FX has released a brand new maddening minute long promo trailer for American Horror Story: Asylum. It features a ton of new footage from the series, and gives us a little more insight into the nightmarish plot!

The story takes place in the year 1964 at an insane asylum that was originally a tuberculosis ward, and it will show that not only are the patients insane, but the doctors as well. The series stars Jessica Lange, Joseph Fiennes, James Cromwell, Adam Levine, Zachary Quinto, Chloe Sevigny, Evan Peters, Britne Oldford, Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe, Chris Zylka and Lizzie Brochere.

American Horror Story: Asylum is set to premiere on FX on October 17th. Bring on the nightmares!
