Saoirse Ronan Cast in Wes Anderson's THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL

Saoirse Ronan has become quite a great young dramatic actress. She blew people away with her breakout performance in Atonement, starred in Peter Jackson's The Lovely Bones, and kicked some ass in the action thriller Hanna. It looks like she's ready to do a little light comedy as she's just been cast as the lead female character in Wes Anderson's next movie The Grand Budapest Hotel.

The film is a period piece set 85 years ago in a Hungarian hotel, and it also stars Ralph Fiennes, Jude Law and Anderson regulars Bill Murray, Owen Wilson and Jason Schwartzman, among others. The movie was partly inspired by the witty films of Billy Wilder and Ernst Lubitsch (The Shop Around the Corner).

Ronan is a solid actress that I'm sure will be great in the movie. She will next be seen in the big screen adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's novel The Host, and is also set to star in the historical film Mary Queen of Scots.

I love Anderson's work, his last movie, Moonrise Kingdom, was such a great film and I can't wait to see how The Grand Budapest Hotel turns out!
