Trailer for Kate Bosworth's Suspense Thriller BLACK ROCK

The first trailer has been released for the intense indie murder thriller Black Rock. The movie was directed by Katie Aselton (The League) from a script written by Mark Duplass. Aselton also stars in the movie alongside Kate Bosworth and Lake Bell.

I had a chance to see the movie up at Sundance with Ben earlier this year, and it was a solid movie. There were a couple of roll your eyes moments but for the most part it was a really well made suspenseful character driven film. Here's what Ben had to say in his review,

As with many survival/stalker thrillers, the main characters commit a multitude of mistakes that would make no sense in a real world scenario but must be done to continue the drama of the story. The movie isn't interested in answering questions like, "Why wouldn't he just shoot them in the face right now?" Instead it focuses on getting the main characters into more and more trouble and keeping the audience wondering how many of them, if any, will make it out alive.Black Rock can be conventional at times, but if it's executed well, sometimes that's not a bad thing.

Here's the synopsis:

Three childhood friends set aside their personal issues and reunite for a girls' weekend on a remote island off the coast of Maine. One wrong move turns their weekend getaway into a deadly fight for survival.

The movie will hit theaters on May 17th, 2013. Watch the trailer and let us know if it looks like a movie you'd be interested in watching!
