New Photos for WHITE HOUSE DOWN with Tatum and Foxx
Here's a few new photos from Roland Emmerich's new action-thriller film, White House Down, which stars Channing Tatum, Jamie Foxx and Maggie Gyllenhaal. The script was written by James Vanderbilt and it tells a Die Hard style story that's set in the White House. It focuses on a paramilitary takeover of the President's residence, and Tatum plays a Secret Service agent who is forced to protect the president played by Foxx.
The photos are scans from the most recent issue of EW, and in it Foxx talks about his inspirations for the presidential role, such as Harrison Ford in Air Force One, and President Obama.
There will be moments in the movie – the speeches, stuff like that – where [Obama] will know we’re doing a nod to him… But hopefully he’ll understand that my character is definitely not him.
The movie is set to be released on June 28th, 2013, and I imagine the first trailer isn't far behind. Do you have any interest in seeing this movie? I just hope it's better that what I'm expecting. Emmerich hasn't really impressed me with anything since Independence Day.
