Jamie Foxx On Electro's Origin in SPIDER-MAN 2
Last month we heard that Jaimie Foxx might end up playing the villain Electro in Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man 2. This is a role that the actor seems to be pretty excited about. In a recent interview with EW he confirmed that he'll be in the movie and gave a little info on the origin of the character.
Electro is a great character. I met with the director, Mark Webb, I met with Andrew Garfield, and we talked. ... I think Electro will be an exciting character to play because he's a ... genius electrician-type person, and he gets the short end of the stick from the whole world, and the next thing you know he turns it on.
Yesterday Webb announced that Dane Dehaan (Chronicle) would be taking on the part of Harry Osborn, which is a solid casting decision. The sequel has got a pretty awesome cast so far that includes Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Shailene Woodley.
The movie will be released on December 2nd, 2013, and I'm looking forward to seeing how Electro is portrayed in it!
