STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS Japanese Trailer Has More Footage!
I don't know about you, but I thought the first teaser trailer for J.J. Abrams' Star Trek Into Darkness was incredibly awesome! We've barely scratched the surface of what this movie has to offer, but I'm already 100% sold on it. Now thanks to a Japanese teaser trailer we have 15 seconds of additional footage, some of which seems to pay homage to Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan as there's a scene that shows a behind the glass hand touching moment between two people as Benedict Cumberbatch's villainous voiceover says, "Is there anything you would not do... for your family?"
The blue shirt indicates that Kirk isn't a part of this scene shown above, that is most likely Spock, the other person could be Cumberbatch's character. This might be the event that leads to Cumberbatch turning bad. I'm confident that the villain will be Gary Mitchell. Watch the footage and see for yourself, and hit us up with your theories! The movie hits theaters on May 17th, 2013.
The movie also stars Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana, Anton Yelchin, Simon Pegg, John Cho, Peter Weller and Alice Eve.
In Summer 2013, pioneering director J.J. Abrams will deliver an explosive action thriller that takes Star Trek Into Darkness. When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis. With a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction. As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.
