Deadline announced today that Adam Scott is working out the final details to join Ben Stiller’s remake of The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. He would be joining an already decent cast of Stiller, Kristin WiigPatton Oswalt, and Shirley MacLaine. There is no word yet on what role Scott will be playing.

I watched the 1947 version of this movie when I was in film class in high school. It is totally worth watching if you have the chance. Of course, Stiller’s version will be more up to date, but I have a feeling that it will be the same premise.

Here is the synopsis that was given on imdb:

A timid magazine photo manager who lives life vicariously through daydreams embarks on a true-life adventure with a negative goes missing.

I am happy that Adam Scott’s career is taking off. I am a huge fan of Parks and Recreation, and I think that he has a great road ahead of him. Let us know what you think!
