ACT OF VALOR Crew To Develop Underground Racing Film HIGH SPEED

Movie Act of Valor by Joey Paur

Bandito Brothers, the production company that is bringing us the upcoming Navy SEAL action film Act of Valor, is now planning a new film production that will focus on the world of underground racing called High Speed. Deadline describes High Speed as a "gritty, stylized car chase" film, and it sounds awesome!

The story centers around the best high-speed police pursuit drivers in the country, assembled as a unit to stop and elusive, high-end underground racing circuit hellbent on running deadly point-to-point races through major American Cities.

That sounds like a pretty badass movie to me. It definitely seems like it will be bigger and more epic than the Fast and Furious movies. This is a movie I want to see, and just reading that little story summary makes me wish I was a high speed police pursuit driver. My question is... are they going to go out and actually cast real police pursuit drivers like they did with the Navy SEALs? That would be amazing!

High Speed will be directed by Scott Waugh, who co-directed Act of Valor, and it will be written by Greg Russo. The movie most likely won't go into production until 2013 because of a film they are developing with Arnold Schwarzenegger called Black Sands

What do you think about the concept for this movie?
