Dwight Yoakam Leaves THE LONE RANGER

Country star Dwight Yoakam has confirmed he has left the production of Disney's The Lone Ranger. Yoakam cited scheduling conflicts as the reason he ended his involvement from the film. The film is directed by Gore Verbinski and stars Johnny Depp (Dark Shadows) as Tonto and Armie Hammer (Mirror, Mirror) as the Lone Ranger himself.

This is not the first time Yoakam has left a high-profile project like this. He was offered two different roles in The Dark Knight - the traitorous Det. Wurtz and the mob Banker at the beginning of the film. Yoakam turned them both down. What do you think? Will Yoakam be missed?
