Jon Favreau To Direct JJ Abrams' NBC Pilot REVOLUTION

Iron Man director Jon Favreau has officially signed on to direct the pilot for a new NBC TV series called Revolution, created by JJ Abrams and Eric Kripke (Supernatural).

According to Deadline, the series is descibed as "a high-octane action drama following a group of characters struggling to survive and reunite with loved ones in a world where all forms of energy have mysteriously ceased to exist."

Now that sounds like it could be an awesome series! Favreau could really have some fun with this, and I'm excited to see how it turns out. We could always use another great mindblowing show, and this seems like it has some pretty epic elements. A life without energy means a life without electronics... sounds like a nightmare. Favreau is also developing a comedy series at CBS called Tweaked which he wrote on spec and willl direct.

What are your thoughts on this new series, and the fact favreau will be directing the pilot?
