MAN OF STEEL's Henry Cavill Eyes Zwick's GREAT WALL

Henry Cavill is lining up his first role after playing Superman in Man of Steel. Variety reports that Cavill is in negotiations to star in The Great Wall for Legendary East. Edward Zwick (Glory, The Last Samurai, Blood Diamond) is directing based on a script he penned with Marshall Herskovitz.

The concept was concocted by Legendary Pictures chairman Thomas Tull and Max Brooks. It focuses on "the mystery behind how China's Great Wall was constructed." Zwick, Herskovitz, Tull, and Legendary's Jon Jashni are producing with Atlas Entertainment's Alex Gartner and Chuck Roven. Great Wall will be a co-production of Legendary East and Huayi Brothers, which will distribute the pic in China. No U.S distribution has been announced.

Cavill looks good in the pictures I have seen from Man of Steel. Zwick is a great director, and I am interested to see this film. What are your thoughts?
