SMALLVILLE Showrunners Writing Bermuda Triangle Movie

The mystery of the Bermuda Triangle is headed to the big screen. THR reports that Universal has hired Smallville showrunners, Alfred Gough and Miles Millar to write a script. Safe House producer Scott Stuber came up with the idea and is on board as producer.

The concept focuses on the "infamous Caribbean area traditionally cornered by the Florida Straits, Bermuda and Puerto Rico. The area has been home to a several unusual disappearances attributed to supernatural or alien origins."

Gough and Millar wrote Shanghai Noon and Spider-Man 2. They are currently developing an adaptation of the young-adult book Homelanders, which could be their directorial debut. It will be interesting to see what mysteries are unearthed in the film. What direction do you think Gough and Millar will take with the film?
