Seth Rogen To Star in Police Comedy!

Seth Rogen and Kevin Hart have found their next project. Variety reports that the actors are going to star in an untitled police comedy for Paramount Pictures. The studio reportedly won a bidding war for a pitch by Rodney Rothman (Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Year One, Get Him To The Greek), who is producing under his Viking Funeral banner. Rogen and Evan Goldberg will also produce, and Hart will serve as executive producer.

Rogen and Hart will play cops in the film, which is being pitched as "the first interracial police pairing in law enforcement history." Rothman and Rogen worked together on Undeclared. Rothman recently produced The Five-Year Engagement," which is his fourth film for Judd Apatow. Universal bought his horror script for The Something, which he plans to make his directorial debut.

I loved Rogen in Observe and Report and Superbad, and in both roles he played a form of a cop. I like just about every movie he stars in and will be sure to see this. With this and the remake of Police Academy in the works, there will be a number of cop movies on the horizon.
