THE HANGOVER Part III Will Be Last of the Franchise

Movie by Joey Paur

It looks like the third film in The Hangover franchise will be the last. As much as I enjoyed the first film, I didn't really feel the need for a second or third anyway. I wasn't really that impressed with part II, but according to director Todd Phillips the third movie is going to be much different. I hope they break away from the predicable formula they used in the first two movies.

I’m so excited to embark on another ‘Hangover’ film with Bradley, Ed and Zach. We’re going to surprise a lot of people with the final chapter we have planned. It will be a fitting conclusion to our three-part opera of mayhem, despair and bad decisions.

No information is given on what the story will be about, but the most surprising thing that could happen in this movie is that it will in no way involve a group of grown men getting into one crazy situation after another. Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, and Zach Galifianakis are all back to reprise their roles as members of the legendary Wolfpack. I just hope it turns out to be extremely funny.

Phillips is writing the screenplay with Craig Mazin, who worked together on the screenplay for The Hangover Part II. Production is scheduled to begin in September 2012, and the film will be released May 24th, 2013.

Are you excited for The Hangover Part III, and are you happy it will be the last?
