BATTLE: LOS ANGELES 2 Script in the Works
I may have been one of the few people on this site that loved Battle: Los Angeles. I thought it was an awesome summer popcorn action/sci-fi mix. I left the theater on an emotional high, hoping for a sequel. My wishes have been granted--a sequel is in the works.
Jonathan Liebesman was doing press for Wrath of the Titans, and spoke to Collider about the sequel:
We’ve just started the script now, so that’s where we are. We have just begun the script. Just because I don’t want the studio to get pissed at me, I’m not sure what I can and can’t say about it. But what’s exciting is it sounds like the budget will be as big. They’re really going to make it an event.
Scripting does not mean that a sequel is a done deal, so I should not get my hopes up too high. But I do think that Sony would not have a draft in the works if it were not interested in giving a greenlight for the project down the road.
