Plot Twists Revealed in International Trailer for THE DICTATOR

TrailerMovie by Joey Paur

Paramount Pictures has released a new international trailer for Sacha Baron Cohen's The Dictator. The new trailer gives us a little more insight into what this movie is actually going to be about. Until this trailer came along, I really didn't have much of a desire to see this movie, but there are some funny scenes in this trailer that make the movie look less weak than I originally thought it would be.

The film was directed by Larry Charles (Borat, Bruno, Curb Your Enthusiasm) and also stars Ben Kingsley, Jason Mantzoukas, Anna Faris, Megan Fox, John C. Reilly, and J.B. Smoove. The film tells “the heroic story of a dictator who risked his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed. It is inspired by the best selling novel, Zabibah and The King, by Saddam Hussein.”

Here's a short synopsis:

Baron Cohen plays a ruthless dictator who heads to the U.S. for a meeting at the United Nations and finds that his number two has replaced him with an unsuspecting sheepherder lookalike. As the dictator wanders the city, he meets the owner of an organic food store.

The movie comes out on May 11th, 2012, watch the new trailer below, and let us know if this movie looks funny or annoying to you.
