Cool New BATTLESHIP Featurette Focuses on Aliens

Universal Pictures has released a great new featurette for Battleship that centers on the alien villains that were created for the story. The video features an in-depth interview with the director Peter Berg as he talks about what they were going for in creating these violent alien beings. It also includes a bunch of new footage from the film as well as some cool looking behind the scenes footage of guys in mo-cap suits running all over the place, beating on things, and being thrown around.

Here's the synopsis:

Peter Berg (Hancock) produces and directs Battleship, an epic-scaled action-adventure that unfolds across the seas, in the skies and over land as our planet fights for survival against a superior force. Alex Hopper, a Naval officer assigned to the USS John Paul Jones; Brooklyn Decker as Sam Shane, a physical therapist and Hopper's fiancee; Alexander Skarsgard as Hopper's older brother, Stone, Commanding Officer of the USS Sampson; Rihanna as Petty Officer Raikes, Hopper's crewmate and a weapons specialist on the USS John Paul Jones; and international superstar Liam Neeson as Hopper and Stone's superior (and Sam's father), Admiral Shane.
