Jaden Smith May Play BOY NOBODY For Sony Pictures
Jaden Smith could play Boy Nobody in a feature film from Sony Pictures. Variety reports that the studio is in talks to buy film rights to Allen Zadoff's novel. Negotiations are underway after Sony beat out 20th Century Fox. The book is the first in a planned trilogy about "a brainwashed teenage assassin who starts to regain his emotions. Little, Brown will publish the novel next spring."
The main character is reportedly "a teenage Jason Bourne." Zadoff describes him as a "young soldier trained not to feel; who could function in every situation without fear, sympathy or anger; who could assassinate strangers and then walk away emotionally unscathed."
Smith is currently filming M. Night Shyamalan's Another Earth. He has previously starred in Sony's reboot of The Karate Kid, The Pursuit of Happiness, and the remake of The Day the Earth Stood Still.
