DARK SHADOWS - Vampire History Featurette with Lots of New Footage
Warner Bros. has released a great new featurette for Tim Burton's Dark Shadows, which focuses on the history of vampires, taking a look back at several of the classic vampire films that have been made over the years. It also includes interviews with Johnny Depp and Tim Burton where they talk about their vampire inspirations for the film, as well as showing a ton of never before seen footage. One of the scenes shows Depp hypnotizing Christopher Lee, which is pretty cool. It seems like one of the main points of the video is to show us that there's no other vampire like Depp's Barnabus, and it's hard to argue with that, because it really is such a different take on the dark creature. Hope you enjoy the featurette! When you're done watching, let us know who your favorite movie vampire is!

But even an ocean was not enough to escape the mysterious curse that has plagued their family. Two decades pass and Barnabas (Johnny Depp) has the world at his feet-or at least the town of Collinsport, Maine. The master of Collinwood Manor, Barnabas is rich, powerful and an inveterate playboy…until he makes the grave mistake of breaking the heart of Angelique Bouchard (Eva Green). A witch, in every sense of the word, Angelique dooms him to a fate worse than death: turning him into a vampire, and then burying him alive. Two centuries later, Barnabas is inadvertently freed from his tomb and emerges into the very changed world of 1972. He returns to Collinwood Manor to find that his once-grand estate has fallen into ruin. The dysfunctional remnants of the Collins family have fared little better...
