Rooney Mara To Join Joaquin Phoenix in Spike Jonze's New Film

Rooney Mara (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) is in final negotiations to join Spike Jonze's new untitled film project. She will replace the previously cast Carey Mulligan, who had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts. Jonze wrote and will direct the movie, which also stars Joaquin Phoenix, Amy Adams, and Samantha Morton.

As far as the story goes, all we know is that it's about a man who falls in love with the voice of a computer. There's no word on who any of these actors will play in the film, but knowing Jonze, it will turn out to be an interesting film.

Mara is currently working with director Steven Soderbergh onThe Bitter Pill, and she'll start work on this one as soon as she's done. Mara is a fantastic actress that has a great career ahead of her.

This will be Jonze's first film since his 2009 film Where the Wild Things Are. So, if you had a choice between Carey Mulligan and Rooney Mara, who would you choose?
