Footage Revealed for Rian Johnson's Sci-Fi Film LOOPER

Brick director Rian Johnson has released the first footage for his incredible looking sci-fi film project Looper. I got to see a trailer for this film while I was at WonderCon 2012, and I was blown away. The video below has the director and the star of the film Joseph Gordon-Levitt talking about the movie. It also teases footage from it that will be included in the trailer, which is scheduled to be released in three days. I think this is a much better and more effective way to tease a trailer than to cut an actual trailer for the trailer, which is what we've been seeing a lot of lately. At least here you've got a little interaction with the people involved with making the film. The movie also stars Bruce Willis, Emily Blunt, Paul Dano, Noah Segan, Piper Perabo, and Jeff Daniels. 

Here's Official Synopsis:

In the futuristic action thriller Looper, time travel will be invented – but it will be illegal and only available on the black market.  When the mob wants to get rid of someone, they will send their target 30 years into the past, where a “looper” – a hired gun, like Joe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) – is waiting to mop up.  Joe is getting rich and life is good… until the day the mob decides to “close the loop,” sending back Joe’s future self (Bruce Willis) for assassination.  The film is written and directed by Rian Johnson and also stars Emily Blunt, Paul Dano, and Jeff Daniels.  Ram Bergman and James D. Stern produce.

Looper arrives in theaters on September 28th, 2012, and it's one of my most anticipated films of the year. I just love Johnson's writing and directing style!
