Joel Edgerton to Write and Star in FELONY!
Joel Edgerton is one of Hollywood’s rising stars and it doesn’t look like that rise is going to slow down. Edgerton, who starred in last year’s hit Warrior and if you care he played Uncle Owen in Episode One: The Phantom Menace, is taking on the dual role of writer and star for his upcoming thriller Felony.
Here is a synopsis of the film:
Driving home after a celebration drink with his team after the long waited bust of a major gang, a decorated police officer (Edgerton) runs a young cyclist off the road. As he gives CPR to the child, fellow officers arrive to take his statement. In a split second decision he tells them a lie about the accident which will change all their lives
I like what I have seen of Edgerton so far, and I think the he is delving into people’s most primal fear with this film. If you have seen the film Reservation Road, then you know that this concept can really get under your skin. I am interested to see what kind of twists that he will put in this film. Let us know what you think.
