Will Ryan Reynolds be the Next HIGHLANDER?
There can be only one, and it looks like Lionsgate and Summit have set their sights on Ryan Reynolds to take on the lead role in the Highlander movie reboot. According to Variety he's at the top of the studios' list, and that they are in talks with the actor who is very interested in working on it.
There's no word on if any offer has been made, but according to insiders Reynolds is looking at taking on several different other offers for other films, so there's a possibility that he might not end up being "the one."
28 Weeks Later director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo is set to develop the project after Fast Five director Justin Lin dropped out. There aren't many details on the story for the reboot but I imagine it won't be much different from the original film which starred Christopher Lambert and Sean Connery, which followed an immortal swordsman who battled other immortal warriors through the centuries.
What do you think about the possibility of Reynolds starring in the Highlander reboot?
