PROMETHEUS - Concept Art, Set Photos and Info on New Alien Creature
THR recently conducted a wonderful interview with director Ridley Scott to talk about Prometheus, and they also revealed some great concept art and set photos from the film in the article.
The interview is a great read and I suggest you check it out. Scott goes into some awesome details about developing the film and reveals some cool stuff, such as the fact that his real motivation behind making Prometheus was because he was "really pissed off" that James Cameron was offered to direct Aliens instead of himself.
One of the most interesting parts of the interview though was when he revealed some details on the new alien creature in the movie. You might not want to read the quote below if you don't want to know anything else about the movie.
The new ship is quite different from Alien's, with its tall, refinery-like towers that Scott says he sketched rapidly, thinking of a floating tug. By contrast, the Prometheus is massive and resembles a Hawker Hunter jump jet, which is "pretty interesting in the way the engines tilt and fold," the director observes. As to the film's creature, it takes on at least four different forms as it grows and changes, sometimes "organically" in a way that [actress Noomi] Rapace calls "every woman's worst nightmare."
Everything will be revealed in all its epic glory on June 8th! Check out the rest of the images below!
