35 Years of STAR WARS Infographic
Here's a great way to brush up on your Star Wars trivia. In celebration of the 35th Anniversary of the release of the first Star Wars film, Newsorama has created this great timeline of all things Star Wars. I don't have to go into the cultural influence Star Wars has had on the world over the past 35 years. If you're reading this, on a site dedicated to all things geek, you already know. And the numbers speak for themselves: 4.5 billion in ticket sales for the original and its sequel/prequels and re-releases; and an estimated $20 billion in licensed merchandise. I can say for myself, that I've spent more on Star Wars merchandise than all of the other movie/tv merch I own combined!
