Gary Oldman and Dominic Monaghan to Star in MONSTER BUTLER

Gary Oldman and Dominic Monaghan have joined the cast of Monster ButlerTHR reports that they will star opposite Malcolm McDowell and Joanne Whalley (The Borgias) in the indie thriller directed by Doug Rath. The film will tell the true story of "Roy Fontaine (aka Archibald Hall), a bisexual jewel thief/con man/serial killer who chronicles his personal descent into darkness leading up to his eventual capture."

Oldman will play "Wiggy, a taxidermist with anger issues and business on the side who partners with Fontaine on a number of crimes before things get heavy." Monaghan will play "David Wright, a key player in Roy’s life and who also serves as his Achilles' heel. Their relationship begins in prison and restarts when they both work on an estate. But a blackmail attempt forces Fontaine’s hand and begins his descent into murder and mayhem."

Dark House Films is producing and Warner Bros. is distributing. Filming is slated to start June 6 in Scotland. McDowell, Diane Da Silva and Chris Roe are serving as producers, with Wilson de Silva serving as exec producer.

I am glad to see Monaghan on screen again. He was last in Flash Forward, which I wish had not been cancelled. Oldman is great in just about anything (let's forget Red Riding Hood). What do you think of the cast for this film?
