J.J. Abrams Producing Sci-Fi Film GOD PARTICLE
J.J. Abrams has added yet another film project on his to-do list. Paramount Pictures has acquired a script for the filmmaker called God Particle. The script comes from Oren Uziel, who recently wrote an action comedy for Sony Pictures called The Kitchen Sink, and alien invasion film that also includes zombies, vampires, and humans.
According to Vulture, Abrams will not direct God Particle, he will just serve as the film's producer. There's also a little information on what the sci-fi movie will be about, and here it is...
After a physics experiment with a large hadron accelerator causes the Earth to seemingly vanish completely, the terrified crew of an orbiting American space station is left floating in the middle of now-even-more-empty space. When a European spacecraft appears on their radar, the Americans must determine whether it’s their salvation, or a harbinger of doom.
The movie sounds like it could be awesome! It definitely sounds like the kind of story that Abrams would attach himself to. The movie may sound like a big budget concept, but according to the report, it will have a budget of only around $5 million dollars.
It will be cool to see how this movie turns out. What do you think about the plot?
