PROMETHEUS Viral Clip Revealed at End of Movie
The viral marketing campaign for Ridley Scott's Prometheus continues! If you saw the movie and stayed until after the credits rolled, then you saw a Weyland Corp credits tag. Well, that tag leads us to a new viral website, www.whatis101112.com, and a new video featuring Peter Weyland. The site includes details on a book called Thus Spoke Zarathustra, by German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche.
Here's a description of that book:
Thus Spoke Zarathustra: A Book for All and None is a philosophical novel by German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche, composed in four parts between 1883 and 1885. Much of the work deals with ideas such as the "eternal recurrence of the same", the parable on the "death of God", and the "prophecy" of the Übermensch, which were first introduced in The Gay Science.
It also seems as if this Prometheus viral campaign will run all the way though October 11th, which might just be around the time the DVD and Blu-ray will be released. That date is also the first day of New York Comic-Con, so maybe something more will be revealed there? I guess we'll eventually find out!
Check out the viral video below! Did you see Prometheus this last weekend? If so, did you like it!?
