Philip Seymour Hoffman Offered Role in CATCHING FIRE

It looks Philip Seymour Hoffman could show up in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. He's been offered the role of Plutarch Heavensbee. For those of you who haven't read the book, Heavensbee is the Head Gamemaker takes the place of Seneca Crane, played by Wes Bentley in the first film.

At this point we just have to wait to see if Hoffman ends up taking the part. He's a great actor that I know would do an amazing job in the role. The most recent film he's worked on is Paul Thomas Anderson's The Master, which is set to be released in October.

What do you think about Hoffman possibly taking on the role Heavensbee?

Here's the description of the story of The Hunger Games sequel:

Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen has won the annual Hunger Games with fellow district tribute Peeta Mellark. But it was a victory won by defiance of the Capitol and their harsh rules. Katniss and Peeta should be happy. After all, they have just won for themselves and their families a life of safety and plenty. But there are rumors of rebellion among the subjects, and Katniss and Peeta, to their horror, are the faces of that rebellion. The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants revenge.
