Jennifer Connelly in Talks For NOAH
Jennifer Connelly
may reunite with her
A Beautiful Mind
co-star
Russell Crowe
and director
Darren Aronofsky
, whom she worked with on
Requiem For A Dream
. Aronofsky has been name dropping her for awhile, but
reports that she is now officially in talks to join his film based on the Biblical tale of
Noah
.
Connelly would once again have Crowe as a husband with visions, only this time not of government conspiracies, but of building an ark as ordered by God to save two of every animal before the Almighty floods the Earth and wipes the place clear to start again. Hopefully she won't be doing any rehashing of the shenanigans Aronofsky had her do in
Requiem
. Hopefully it's just gathering animals two-by-two like the picture above.
Noah himself is being portrayed as a man who loves the planet and his animals, but who is disillusioned about the way humanity has treated them.
Also cast is
Emma Watson
as Ila, described as "a young woman who develops a close relationship with Noah’s son, Shem." Shem is being played by
Douglas Booth
, and
Logan Lerman
will be taking on the role of his brother Ham.
Ray Winstone
was recently cast as the villain. Details about his character have yet to surface.
The large-scale biblical epic has quite the cast. What do you think of the cast so far?
