Abbie Cornish Offered Lead Female Role in ROBOCOP

Sucker Punch actress Abbie Cornish may just end up taking on the lead female role inJose Padilha's Robocop reboot. According to Deadline, she has been offered the role. As of right now there's no word if she's taken it or not, but I don't see why she wouldn't. 

She would play the the wife of Joel Kinnaman's (The Killing) character in the story, which follows a police officer who is gunned down and almost killed. He is then turned into a badass robot crime-fighter, who eventually ends up starting to remember his old life as a full human. 

Sucker Punch is the only film I've seen Cornish in, and she was fine in it, it was the script for that film that sucked ass.
