BEASTS OF THE SOUTHERN WILD - Film Clip and Featurette

Fox Searchlight pictures has released a new film clip and behind the scenes featurette for the Sundance film Festival hit, Beasts of the Southern Wild. I'm one of the few people that didn't buy into the hype of this movie. Sure it was a good film, beautifully shot and well acted, but I just didn't connect with the story. I actually kind of felt it was all over the place. It's a very artsy indie film with cool visuals and an interesting setting. Here's the Synopsis:

In a forgotten but defiant bayou community cut off from the rest of the world by a sprawling levee, a six-year-old girl exists on the brink of orphanhood. Buoyed by her childish optimism and extraordinary imagination, she believes that the natural world is in balance with the universe until a fierce storm changes her reality. Desperate to repair the structure of her world in order to save her ailing father and sinking home, this tiny hero must learn to survive unstoppable catastrophes of epic proportions.

The movie will be released later this month on June 27th, 2012. Watch the clip and featurette and let us know if you think you'll be.
