IRON MAN 3 Set Photos - Over A Dozen People on Wires

Star News just snagged some intense photos from the set of Shane Black's Iron Man 3, which is filming in downtown Wilmington, NC. They are filming a pretty big stunt over there that involves (I assume) stunt doubles for Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow, along with about a dozen other people hooked up to wires and suspended over the Cape Fear River. With how close those cameras are to Tony Stark, that actually may be Downey himself. With the suit being mostly CG, it's funny how he can just rock shorts and sneakers.

No sign of the rest of the cast, which includes Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Andy Lau, Ashley Hamilton, James Badge Dale, Sir Ben Kingsley, and Jon Favreau. There looks to be a wide veriety of costumes for the stunt team, which I believe includes Marines and flight attendants, which leads me to believe that Tony Stark is rescuing a downed plane. We'll just have to wait and see though. 

Iron Man 3 is set to be released on May 3rd, 2013.
