Christian Bale Visits Colorado Shooting Victims

Here's a bit of news that made me happy today. During some free time, Dark Knight Rises star Christain Bale took a quite trip to Aurora, Colorado to visit the victims of last week's horrific theater shooting. Bale did this on his own accord.

Time opened up for the actor after Warner Bros. cancelled the premieres and press appearances for The Dark Knight Rises in Mexico and Japan. How awesome is that! Bale didn't have to go, but he did, and I'm sure it meant a lot to those people struggling with what they had gone through. Here's what he had to say in a previous statement...

Words cannot express the horror that I feel. I cannot begin to truly understand the pain and grief of the victims and their loved ones, but my heart goes out to them.

I know Bale visiting these people isn't going to fix everything, but it's a selfless act. It shows that he really does care, and that means something.
