Here's the first trailer for director Lee Daniels' (Precious) latest film The Paperboy, which stars Zac Efron, Matthew McConaughey, David Oyelowo, Macy Gray, John Cusack, and Nicole Kidman.

The story follows a Miami Times reporter as he returns to his Florida hometown to investigate the imprisonment of a death row inmate. The movie is based on the novel by Pete Dexter, and it looks fantastic. It's got thrilling a pulp story feel to it, which is what drew me in. On top of that, everyone looks great in the roles they play.

Here's the synopsis:

A directionless young man helps his reporter brother investigate the possible wrongful conviction of a man on death row, and in the process, falls for the woman whom the convict has been romancing through prison correspondence.

The movie gets a limited release on October 5th, and I'm looking forward to watching it. Check out the trailer and let us know if the movie looks good to you!
