Looks Like Marvel Will Get Those DAREDEVIL Rights Back
The last thing we heard on the Daredevil reboot was that A-Team director Joe Carnahan was in talks to direct the film, and that Fox was trying to push it into production before the rights revert back to Marvel in October. October is fast approaching, and it doesn't look like Carnahan is going to be directing it. The director tweeted out the following statements yesterday,
Think my idea for a certain retro, red-suited, Serpico-styled superhero went up in smoke today kids.
We shall see. Time is NOT on anyone's side.
Looks like Marvel is most likely going to end up getting the rights to Daredevil back, which is pretty awesome if you ask me! I think every Marvel property should belong to Marvel. I would have loved to see what Carnahan had planned, but in the end it's in better hands at Marvel. A week ago he sent out the following tweet...
DD fans would be very pleased if they saw the things I've seen of late. Very, VERY pleased...
Unless the studio has some sneaky master plan, it sounds like they are just going to let the rights revert back. I'm happy Marvel is getting the rights back, but what do you think about Fox letting it go, and Carnahan's vision going up in flames?
