I honestly think Tom Cruise's Jack Reacher action thriller looks good. I know he's not everyone's favorite choice to play the character, but it could still end up being a solid movie. Here's a new image from the movie featuring Cruise and Robert Duvall being sneaky.

The film is based on the ninth book in the Jack Reacher book series written by Lee Child, One Shot. The film is being directed by Christopher McQuarrie (The Way of the Gun, writer of The Usual Suspects), and also stars Rosamund Pike, Jai Courtney, and Werner Herzog.

Here's the Synopsis:

When a gunman takes five lives with six shots, all evidence points to the suspect in custody. On interrogation, the suspect offers up a single note: "Get Jack Reacher!" So begins an extraordinary chase for the truth, pitting Jack Reacher against an unexpected enemy, with a skill for violence and a secret to keep.

The film hits theaters on December 21th 2012. I've also included the trailer for you to watch again.
